Export invoice records you can actually review

An invoice report is useful when it answers a defined question. Choose the purpose and reporting period first; then export the relevant records. A larger CSV is not automatically a better report.

InvCreate lets you generate a CSV invoice report for a year, month, lifetime, or custom period so you can review the records outside the dashboard.

Prepare the records you need to review

Choose the relevant period, generate the report, and keep the original invoices available for verification.

Choose the period based on the task

Monthly bookkeeping handoff

Export the month being reviewed. Confirm the start and end dates before downloading, and retain the original invoice PDFs when they are needed as source documents.

Outstanding-invoice review

Use invoice and payment status in InvCreate to identify records that need attention. Use the report when you need the detailed period data outside the dashboard.

Annual or custom-period review

Choose a year or custom range when you need a broader view of activity. Remember that invoice totals do not automatically equal cash received or accounting revenue.

Inspect the export before handing it off

Do not send or import a report without opening it first:

  1. select the intended period;
  2. review the result before generating the file;
  3. open the downloaded CSV in the spreadsheet tool you intend to use;
  4. compare several rows with their source invoices;
  5. check dates, currencies, decimal formatting, totals, and payment information;
  6. preserve an unchanged copy before editing or importing it elsewhere.

When another system expects specific column names, date formats, separators, or status values, map those fields deliberately. Do not assume every accounting tool interprets a CSV in the same way.

Keep reports and analytics separate

Analytics summarize patterns such as the value invoiced, payments collected, outstanding balances, or overdue work. Reports provide portable records for a selected period.

Use analytics to identify the question. Use a report when you need to inspect, share, or work with the underlying records outside InvCreate. Keep the original invoices available because a spreadsheet export is not a substitute for the source documents.

A CSV report supports review and transfer. It does not determine the accounting or tax treatment required in your jurisdiction.

Take the invoice records into your existing workflow

Generate a period-based CSV, verify it against the source invoices, and use it for the review or handoff you actually need.
